Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery became BC’s 8th estate winery in 1972, is the birthplace of North American Icewine and became Canada’s first certified organic winery in 1988. The Hainle legacy is built on Walter Hainle’s renowned winemaking expertise and his stroke of genius that resulted in the first production of icewine in North America.
LEGACY OF EXCELLENCE
In November of 2010, the 2007 Pinot Noir Estate, which the first vintage made by Walter Huber, was named one of the best 25 international wines at the International Wine Show in Whistler. In 2011, it won 99 Points in France and the winery was ranked in the top 1% internationally, by Vivino Wines. Hainle Vineyard Estate Winery has been named “Best Rated Winery in Canada” by Vivino for three consecutive years and is renowned for being one of Canada’s best cult-wineries.
