FITZPATRICK FAMILY VINEYARDS
THE FITZPATRICK FAMILY
The Fitzpatrick Family’s agricultural roots in the Okanagan Valley date back to the early part of the 20th century with a fruit-packing company called MacLean & Fitzpatrick (Mac & Fitz). It was through that pioneering experience that our Founder Senator Ross Fitzpatrick gained the knowledge of what is and what isn’t a good place to grow fruit in the Valley. We started making wine in the Okanagan at a time when almost no one thought it was worthwhile. But we knew you could, so we set about acquiring the right spots to do it in. We were pioneers. Again
In 2014, our family sold CedarCreek Estate Winery to the von Mandl Family Estates but retained our Greata Ranch Vineyard property. After 27 years of developing CedarCreek into one of Canada’s premium wineries resulting in two Canadian Winery of the Year awards, the Fitzpatricks have transformed Greata Ranch into a stand-alone boutique winery offering remarkable on-site hospitality experiences. The Fitzpatrick’s goal is to create world class traditional method sparkling wine in the Okanagan Valley, but also produce a selection of estate bottled table wines in small lots.
